Feeling Better

We were able to come home from the hospital on Monday. Mason seems to be feeling a lot better and has been a really happy baby. I want to thank everyone for your phone calls, text messages and comments. I've really been amazed by how much support everyone has given us! It is so nice to have such a great support system. And even nicer to have my baby home again!

4 Days and Counting

For the past 4 days we have been in Primary Childrens Hospital: Mason has RSV.

As a mother, this is something I hoped never to go through. The last 4 days have been some of the longest of my life. I can't describe how it feels to see your newborn baby hooked up to tubes and monitors. Its been a rollercoaster ride to see him progress for a few hours and then totally crash. The main concern has been keeping his oxygen levels up. Yesterday he developed a horrible cough and "squeaky" lungs. We were really hopeful that we were going to get to come home Sunday...he was even on room air for awhile, but then his levels suddenly dropped down and they had to crank up his oxygen.

So, for now we sit, wait, and pray that our little man will pull through soon.

V-Day

The boys woke up this morning to find that their bedroom door...and the bathroom door.... and the nursery door had been heart attacked. Jonas walked out of his room with the cutest look of confusion! He kept pointing at the hearts and trying to figure out why they were there. I am the ward bulletin specialist and so while I was gone printing off the Sacrament programs, the boys made me this special Valentine and had it on my bedroom door when I got home. Also, Jeff bought me a rose bush earlier in the week.
Valentines were simple this year and here's what we got the boys.

And here's what I got for Jeff: a bag full of valentines telling him why he is amazing, oh and some chocolate too.

Hope you all had a wonderful day surrounded by the people who love you most!

The Need to Remember

So I am one of those crazy moms who does a blog, baby book, and scrapbook for each of my kids. I have this compulsive need to document everything. I guess maybe I am just afraid of one day forgetting what it was like when my kids were babies. Tonight I was able to sit down and update Mason's blog and start on his scrapbook. It feels so good to get some of it done! I know I have a long road ahead of me, but taking it in baby steps makes it feel not so overwhelming. Maybe tomorrow I'll work on some of the other boys' stuff....maybe.

Blessing Day

Today this sweet little guy was blessed in church. I can't tell you how thankful I am feeling right now! Not only do I have a super cute little baby, but an amazing husband and two precious little boys. To top it off, almost all of our family was able to make it here for the blessing and I don't think they will ever know how much it meant to me.
Since we have 9 o'clock church, we came home after Sacrament Meeting and had a brunch. We really enjoyed being able to see family and have some fun. In fact, I think we all had fun either riding Jonas' wiggle car down the hill or just watching everyone else do it.

What blessings a new little baby brings! Not only is Mason a huge blessing, but his birth gives us a chance to come together as a family and celebrate...and create wonderful memories for years to come. Seriously, what's better than spending time with family??

Can I tell you how much I love these little boys...oh, and the big boy too, I sure love him a lot. They are mine, forever mine! I couldn't ask for much more than that!!
Well....a daughter would be nice, can I ask for that?....In another 2 or 3 or 4 years??
