Deamin' of You

I'm ready.

Ready to make the change.

I'm ready to say bye-bye to my point and shoot camera and hello to this beautiful SLR. While my current camera has awesome features and has given me many beautiful photos, I find myself dreaming of the day when I can make the switch to SLR...and hopefully that day isn't too far away. But for now, I'll have to settle for dreamin'.

Science Kid

Do you remember watching Bill Nye the Science Guy as a kid? If he were still on the air I think Carson would love his show. This kid likes science. He just got a brand new "Light" kit from Grandma. It was so funny because Grandma told him he could pick out a new toy and what does this boy choose? A science kit. Not just any science kit....one he has been eyeing for months.

Today I was trying to keep my little munchkin entertained and decided that we could do baking soda volcanoes. Can I tell you it was an instant obsession for him? He has been trying to recreate the reaction...mixing hot and cold water together. LOL. I think I'm going to have to go buy some more vinegar so we can do it again.

Twilight

My mom has been here visiting since Saturday. She bought Twilight for me and we were going to have a relaxing night watching it, but Carson wanted to watch it too. Here he is trying to convince me to let him watch a PG-13 movie. I have no idea why he thinks vampires have "sharp claws"!

On second thought, it sounds like he had snuck out the night before and watched the part when Bella is searching on her computer for the "cold ones". Yes, we are nerds and watched it two nights in a row. The book is still way better, though.

Spring!

Well, not technically, but it sure feels like spring to us. It was sunny and in the 60's and we just had to play outside today! It sure has been nice to have such a mild winter this year. After all the snow we had in Rexburg last year...and how winter dragged on until May....I have been very happy not to have to worry about freezing temperatures and icy roads. Although, I must say, I do still miss Rexburg. It was a beautiful weekend and we took advantage of it. On Friday we went to Eagle Mountain to see Tiffany, Chandler, and Rowan and we let the boys run outside and play on the toys. On Saturday we went to the aquarium with Braydon, Alex, and Kris and afterwards hopped on down to Thanksgiving Point's Farm Country (a cute little farm they have for kids). I wish I had pictures to post :(. The boys all ran around like crazy and got to see some peacocks, goats, horses, and cows. All of them (even Jonas) got to ride on some ponies.

Hooray for nice weather!

Nothing much going on here, just popping in to post some random pictures of the boys from this week. All is well here, we are starting to get spring fever and wish we had a yard we could go clean up or plant seeds in. We had our taxes done last night and are super excited at how much we are getting back! The problem is that its already spent 10 different ways on bills! Oh well.

Journey to South America

I'll admit it, we're aquarium nerds. One of the very first things we did when we moved here was to buy a family pass to the aquarium. We just love it. A family goal is to one day go see the Georgia Aquarium --the world's largest aquarium. We love the fact that our little aquarium is growing and just opened a new exhibit, Journey to South America. We've been there twice this week so far, and are heading over there this afternoon with our cousins for a third trip. Its an awesome exhibit and features such things as sea turtles, caymans, piranhas, four eyed fish, and an anaconda. I highly recommend going to see it if you are in the area.

10 Years

Today its been 10 years since Jeff left on his mission. In honor of that, I have pulled out some random pictures from his mission album for your enjoyment! I am so thankful that Jeff chose to serve a mission. I know it has blessed our lives so much and it has set an example for our sons to follow.

{Check out the chub...for all of you who've wanted to see his "fat" pictures! I wish I could drop weight as fast as he can!!}
