What do you think?

I want to know which pictures you like the best! I am going to do a new picture arrangement on my wall in our new apartment. I have a vinyl that I put on glass that reads: "How is it possible that out of all the little boys in the world, I got the best two?" Then I am going to arrange some pictures of Carson and Jonas by the vinyl. I've traditionally done sepia or black/white for all my photos, but maybe it is time for some color...let me know what color and pose is the best!

Boys:
1)

2) Jonas:
1)

2)

Carson:

2) 3)
4)
Of course I may just find different photos...I am so fickle!

Wedding

On Friday Jeff's dad was married in the Rexburg Temple. He married a wonderful woman, Marcy, who has brought him a lot of happiness and who is also great with all of the Grandkids. It was such an awesome experience to be in the temple and to be reminded of the promises that Jeff and I made to each other and the amazing blessings that are promised. We had a wonderful day spending time with family...such a refreshing experience for me as life has been pretty stressful lately. Here are some pictures from the wedding.

Moving, Cleaning, and Exploring

Its been awhile since I've posted because we have been extremely busy. We are completely moved out of our apartment, which was a headache because we only had my father-in-law and my step-dad to help us...which we are very thankful for! Then I spent three days cleaning up the place...only to get a lousy $47 back from our $300 deposit. Of course it wasn't because I didn't clean well---they took $100 just because we sold our contract and another $100 for carpet cleaning (standard practice for them). Then they charged us for missing blinds and a cracked crisper. Oh well, its all done and we are outta there.

I came down to SLC to be with Jeff. We spent the weekend exploring West Jordan, where our new apartment is. I am way excited for our new place its pretty close to Jordan Landing, this awesome shopping center. The only disappointment is that the pool at our new complex is closing Labor Day and we'll move in after that. But it has way fun toys for the kids and the spa is open year round. It feels really homey and we are way excited.

Today I drove down to Sandy to take the boys to the Living Planet Aquarium. I forgot my camera so no pics, but I'm sure I'll post more in the future as I bought a season pass for the family. Our new apartment isn't that far from it so I'm sure we'll probably be going like once a week. Carson loved the jelly fish, seahorses, and sharks.

Well, I gotta go help Kris with dinner so I'll update more when I get back to Idaho...

Concern

I've been packing all day. Tonight Carson started asking me why I was packing and I reminded him that we are moving. I told him that we had to pack up our stuff to take with us. He then started asking me questions such as, "Mommy, are we taking the chairs" or "Mommy are we taking the stove". After finishing the kitchen I moved on to Carson's room and started packing more. He came in, sat in the rocking chair and looked at me. He asked "Mommy, what are you doing?" "Packing again because we are moving to Utah." I answered. Then he got a serious look on his face and said, "Mommy, are we going to take my underwear?"--Evidently a deep concern for a three year old about to have his world turned upside down! Oh Carson, I love you!

The Plan

We're moving. I am so glad we are moving. I can't wait to be back together with my husband and have our family as one. Its been a very difficult year. Now that Jeff is gone again my stress level has risen tons. Between Carson up at night crying that he misses daddy or that there is a monster in his room, to Jonas going through a REALLY fussy week, I am managing about 4 hours of sleep a night.

We sold our contract, yes, we really sold it this time. The new people have officially signed the lease and we are outta here. We are suppose to check-out on the 14th, but since that is next Thursday and Jeff won't be here, we are moving all of our stuff out on Saturday while he is home for the weekend. Then I'll have all next week to clean. So this Sunday will probably be our last in the ward....I hope they FINALLY get us Jonas' blessing certificate! We will miss everyone a lot--our experience in the 77th ward has been an amazing one, but it is time for us to move on with our lives.
We have found an apartment in West Jordan. It is a three bedroom and is 1400 square feet....a nice upgrade from our current 972 square feet. The complex has a pool, spa, playground equipment, exercise room, and on-site Day Care/Preschool. We've submitted our application and will hear back tomorrow if we are approved...I think we should be, last time I checked our credit report it was really good. Of course as I have learned over the past few months, there is never a sure thing until its said and done. So I guess I'll let you know tomorrow if we get in or not. The only problem is that the apartment isn't available until September 9th. So that means I'm in Firth until then...or I can go chill in SLC with Jeff's family....but that is 8 people in a little apartment....tight quarters! Here is the floor plan for our (hopefully) new apartment.

Just so you know...

I don't want to sound like I am using my blog to solicit, but I know some of you are Scentsy customers and I just wanted you to know about what is going on with Scentsy. The whole month of August everything in the Spring/Summer catalog is 10 percent off (multi-packs not included) to clear out stock for the Fall/Winter catalog. They are discontinuing several warmers and fragrances. There are big changes coming this Fall including new smaller warmers that plug directly into the wall (like a "plug in" air freshner)! I've looked at some of the new warmers and they are soooo cute! Stock up now if one of your favorite scents is being discontinued...I know several of my favorites and best sellers are leaving (I've bolded them) :o(. If you know someone who loves Scentsy share this list with them so they can be sure to get their favorite scent before it is gone.

Discontinued Fragrances as of September 1
Awapuhi Seaberry
Bamboo Pear
Bamboo Sugar Cane
Banana Flower
Bergamot & Tarragon
Coming Home
Cranberry Bread
Green Mango
Lavendar Vanilla
Lime Sublime

Orange Dreamsicle
Red Clover Tease

I think you can tell that they are brothers, but they have their own looks!

Week in Review

On Monday we went to the International Folk Dance Festival on Main Street in Rexburg with the Tietjens for FHE. We walked around and explored all the booths before the parade. Carson spotted a giant blow up slide and wanted soooo bad to ride it, but we didn't have any cash on us. After the parade we went to the car and got a dollar so he could go on it. Here he is climbing the stairs, he went down the slide so fast I didn't get a picture. Tuesday night we drove down to Salt Lake and the boys did so well with the travel! We only had to stop once half way there to nurse, use the restroom ,and stretch our legs.

Wednesday Carson and I hung out with Braydon, Alex, and Kris while Jeff was at work. Since it was our anniversary, Kris watched Carson so Jeff and I could go out to dinner. We went to the Olive Garden and then headed down to IKEA because I was dying to go see it...and of course Jonas tagged along! I wish I had had some extra money to spend, but since we'll be living down there I'll get to go to IKEA again.
Thursday night we went to Lehi to go visit the Snedaker's. Carson was excited to see Chandler and they tore up his bedroom in no time. We had dinner, visited, and played Mario Cart. It was great to see our good friends and we are way excited that we'll be a lot closer to them so we can hang out more often.
Friday we spent 6 hours trying to get home. Between SLC traffic, a screaming baby, and stopping for dinner it made for a very long night! We are glad to finally be home but are sad that Jeff is leaving on Sunday to go back down there again. Hopefully we'll be able to find a place down there soon so we can all be together. I am sick of being a "single mom" because of his job!
