While Mommy's Away

"Mommy, I go puke today!"

Life has been a little crazy for our family since I started Student Teaching. Carson spends most of his days at Grandma's house playing on the swing and terrorizing "Peeko". This last week he was sick. I was enjoying my drive down to Idaho Falls Thursday morning when I heard Carson start coughing. I looked in the rear view mirror and he was still asleep. Then all of the sudden he threw up all over himself. Surprisingly he didn't even wake up! I told my mom to keep an eye on him that day and when she brought him back to me at 4:30 she said he had thrown up all day, but that he was starting to feel better. I had to run to Best Buy to get some ink for our printer because no one in Rexburg sells the kind we need (I guess that's what happens when you get a super-duper print all printer). Anyway...as we were pulling out of Best Buy I looked back at Carson just in time to see him projectile vomit all over the back seat of my car! ( Yes, my car is going to be detailed as soon as I have time to get it in! I tried to clean it and the puke smell won't come out.) I couldn't believe his stomach held so much food! Some of it even flew up into the front seat, yes, right to me! I pulled over as fast as I could and tried to clean him up with some baby wipes. But, he had to ride in his puke all the way to Rexburg. That night Jeff and Wynn gave him a blessing and he seemed to be doing better. Carson kept walking around saying, "Mommy, I go puke today."

When I dropped him off with Mom the next morning I told that he hadn't thrown up since yesterday. She was excited that he was doing better, but... the car ride to Firth didn't sit with him well and he threw up all over the back of Grandma's car in Shelley. We finally stopped feeding him milk and he seemed to do better. We are wondering if his acid reflux has returned or if he has developed a milk allergy because he has been throwing up a lot lately. I don't think you get food poisoning that much! I have this Friday off of school so we are going to try to get a doctor's appointment and figure out what is up.

On Monday's Carson goes to visit his friend Chandler downstairs. They are so cute together! It is so fun to see them laugh and yes even fight and laugh about it. Today Tiffany took some pictures of them together and posted them on her blog. So I decided to steal her pictures for those of you who don't visit their blog. As Tiffany said on her blog, they are definately two peas in a pod! Aren't they so cute together.

Yuck on the puke! I know that milk can irritate the stomach more so maybe staying away from that helped him.
