While Jeff has been home, we've been out enjoying the beautiful weather. Friday we went for a picnic in the park and it was so nice to have Jeff there to chase Carson around since I'm not moving so fast these days.
Friday afternoon Carson and I went over to Ryan & Maria's while Jeff was helping the Boyle's move. Carson had a blast running through the sprinkler in the backyard with TyLee. Since we didn't bring a swimming suit he had fun running around in just his underwear, which he soon found too cumbersome, so he ran nude...I figured it was a lost cause to try to make him put wet underwear back on and we were just with family anyway. I'll spare you the pictures of his white little bum. (Thanks Maria for the great deals on MaryKay!)
I went into the doctor's office in the morning because I hadn't felt Jonas move since Friday afternoon. They did a bio-physical test and he scored 10 out of 10 which means he's perfectly normal. As soon as they got me hooked up to the monitor he started kicking...of course. They did and ultrasound and it was fun to have one more sneak peak of what he'll look like. He was making breathing motions with his lungs, which Dr. Allred said means he's just about ready to come-- yes!
So later in the day we went down to Basalt to celebrate my dad's birthday. Its actually on Monday but we decided to celebrate early. Carson had tons of fun making mud in his sand box! He soon discovered the wonderful world of ants and learned he could catch them. He came up to me with one in his hand and said, "Here Mommy, eat it!" I politely declined and told him to ask his daddy. Jeff told him no, then jokingly said, "Carson, how about you eat it? " Carson looked at the ant and then said, "Okay!" He popped it into his mouth and then declared that it was yummy. I had to watch him after that because he ate like 5 more ants all the while declaring that they were some sort of delicacy. Boys. Maybe he's just practicing being Survivorman!

Yeah for sunshine! I'm glad you guys are finally getting some. I could do without a little of ours, it's been in the 100's the last few days. And so begins the evil summer heat! Good to hear all is well with baby.
Sara,I agree on the sunshine! I think if we get any surprise snow I will puke.
I think Holly put it well! lol. About Carson eating the ants.. I think I would have freaked. I suppose I have a lot to adjust to as Mady gets older hehe. I went into the e.r. when I thought Mady wasn't moving I was 38 weeks and of course everything was fine, she started moving too lol..BUT I actually had her the next night! so maybe it'll be soon!
nice progress...i hope little jonas comes soon!
:) That is exciting!! Carson is funny. I agree he must be practicing for survivorman, running in the sprinklers and eating bugs! lol. If he learns how to build a shelter he will be set!! hahahaha.
