Making Room for Jonas

Today I decided I wanted to set the crib up. I know I still have about 7 weeks left, but it was a beautiful day and I was ready for a little spring cleaning. I moved my sewing table out of our bedroom to make way for the crib. It was sad to bid farewell to my very own sewing station, but it was the only logical thing for us to move to make room. I've been waiting for ever to put out my new crib set. I bought it way before I was even pregnant with the miscarriage. Its been patiently sitting in the top of Carson's closet for about 18 months. It is the Amy Coe "Peanut" Mod Baby collection from Target. I saw it and loved it so I got it. I figured since it was green it would be gender neutral in case we ended up having a girl. Then after I found out we were having a boy I saw the new Dwell line at Target. Finally, Dwell at affordable prices, but alas I already had a set so I had to pass it up. Today I also went through all the baby clothes and put all the 0-3 clothes in a plastic organizer. This kid already has so many clothes!

Carson helped Jeff set up the crib. I don't think he's going to have a problem with the baby using the crib because he has been in a toddler bed since he was 17 months. We've tried our best to prepare him for the fact that he's going to have to share Mommy and Daddy, but I think its still going to be a hard transition for him. He's had us all to himself for almost three years.

I've been having a lot of Braxton Hicks. Yesterday they even became timeable...every 10 minutes. I don't really remember having them with Carson. Well, I know that the time is getting close and hopefully he won't go over my due date like Carson did.

Wow! Looks Great! i love the green/brown scheme. It's what I have my crib bedding done in! I can feel for your sewing station being gone - I dont' thing I've had my sewing machine out since the week before Taylor was born. I'm getting itchy to sew!

We thought Tanner would have the hardest time adjusting. And He did have a hard time, yet I think mama, ME, has had the hardest!!! Tanner's getting used to Taylor being around, but I'm not used to all of these new behavioral (sp?) issues. I wish you the best! All we can do is our best, right?

looks great! i got that same elephant blanket for sam. here's a tip: it's not sewn together in the center - just around the edges. that made it really hard to manage. i ran it through the sewing machine following the lines from the squares on the front. you can't even tell on the front, it still looks great in the back, and it works much better now that the two pieces of fabric are sewn together! Sam still uses it!
