Teeth, Teeth, Teeth

It looks like the tooth fairy will be making a stop at our house tonight. Carson's loose tooth finally fell out. Ironically, right after we got home from his first dental appointment. I had run downstairs to change some laundry and when I came up Carson said, "Mommy, I was trying to get my new toothbrush out and something chipped." I looked and he was holding his tooth in his hand. The doctor had just informed us that Carson had not one, but two loose teeth in the front. Also, he has four cavities that need filled. And then there is Jonas...whose molar is so far decayed that they are sending him into a pediatric dentist. The dentist we saw today thinks that his tooth may have been malformed from the beginning and that is why it has almost decayed away after a year. Oh my boys and their horrible teeth! They get them from their father. I've only had two cavities my whole life. Maybe Mason will get my teeth. I'm crossing my fingers.

Cool Carson! Now the fun awkward stage begins with gaps in the teeth :) I know the cavities all too well, since Chan had a couple filled a year and a half ago. I need to take him in again, and we haven't taken Rowan in for a year either. They both go to a pediatric dentist. I love them because they are catered to kids. I can't believe you've only ever had 2 cavities. Nice!

It will be interesting to see how our children's teeth turn out. I had horrible teeth growing up but they seemed to have gotten better. Taylor had good teeth growing up and now seems to be the one getting cavities. We can hope for the best!
