I was so tired when I posted last night that I forgot to tell you about Carson's new friend he made last night! Our neighbors across the street just moved in two weeks ago and have a little boy that turned 4 last week. Carson saw him playing outside and wanted to go meet him. I must say that the little boy, Bridger, was playing with a shovel and a child sized wheelbarrow...which if you know Carson at all, is cause for an instant friendship. Anyway, the boys hit it off really well...they are practically carbon copies of each other. Jeff and I ended up chatting with our neighbors for quite some time as the boys played in the dirt. Its so nice to know that we have friendly neighbors that are our age and have kids the same age. The more we meet people in our neighborhood the more thankful I am that we are going to be living out there. Although I'm worried about Jeff commuting, I take comfort in the fact that all the neighbors we have met so for are all doing the same commute.
I am so thankful that Carson already has a friend next door. I can't tell you how challenging it has been this past year to be living where we are and have made no friends. Not that we haven't tried....just that there aren't a whole lot of people here that we click with. Don't get me wrong, there's people we talk with on regular occasions, but probably no one we'll stay in contact with after we move...maybe no lasting friendships would be a better way to put it. I feel sad that Carson doesn't have any playmates close by that we can just go hang out with or have over to play. I'm thankful that Carson has his cousins and Chandler to occasionally play with, but it isn't the same as having someone close by to play with everyday. I really am thankful that we are going to be moving to a place where there are lots of people our age and in our same situation. I truly feel so blessed for this opportunity!

How nice for Carson! And for you, too. I know it was tough for us growing up. The only little girl our age in our neighborhood wasn't allowed to play with us because we were too wild and not very neat. It would have been nice to have a friend and so I am truly glad that Carson will have that opportunity. All you mothers had better band together and have them wear bright orange vest so the cars notice them when they're running off to play at the neighbors ( our neighborhood needs them...all the little, little kids running across the street is kind of scary!). I can just see Jonas toddling off behind his brother...hope he gets a friend too!
