Birthday Fun

Yesterday we celebrated Jonas' birthday, even though it isn't really until Tuesday because Grandma came to visit for the weekend. Jonas started out the day by getting a new front facing car seat for Daddy's truck. (We believe in having a set of car seats for both vehicles, because we use the LATCH system and it makes it really difficult to transfer seats from one car to another.) He sure had fun riding front facing all the way up to Heber for A Day Out with Thomas.
We had ridden the Thomas train two years ago and decided it would be fun to do it again. Kris and her boys came with us. The boys had fun doing all of the carnival activities.

And Jonas was fascinated with "honking" Grandma's nose.

And then it was time for the train ride. Jonas loved looking outside.



After the ride we came home and had lunch and birthday cake. Here's my attempt at making a dinosaur cake.

Jonas love love loved the cake and frosting!

Then it was off to the pool for a nice three hour long swim.

Jonas got cold after the first 20 minutes so we hung out by the side of the pool for the rest of the time.

Eventually Daddy came to join us.

After our swim we came back inside to open presents. It was a fun filled day and we are so thankful for our family coming out to support us!
