Well, we've finally decided what we are going to do...WE ARE MOVING TO UTAH.
To make a long story short, Jeff went up to Yellowstone on Monday morning, just to be told that they didn't need him. So he turned around and drove back, a lovely 5 hour drive in total. He was pretty upset so he called and talked to the main office. They finally realized that he has a Bachelors degree and immediately gave him a generous pay raise. Then they asked him to get a resume together because they want to interview him to be a Project Engineer, which is a very nice job with a very nice salary. We'll have to see what happens with that. For now, they want him to work in Park City on a project. The company is going to pay him per diem on top of the pay raise, so it made it a no-brainer decision on if we were going to take it. The only hang up is that we are in our apartment contract here until November. I've put our contract up for sale and am praying someone will call on it. I can't handle being apart until November, so PLEASE if you know of anyone looking for a contract send them our way. Jeff will be going down to Utah next Monday and I will be here in Rexburg trying to sell this contract.
It is going to be a big change for our family, but it'll help us to grow and become stronger. We will desperately miss Rexburg...Grandpa Birch, Ryan & Maria, Anthony & Alisha--all of our friends, the Carousel at Porter Park, BYU-Idaho...the list could go on and on. I am somewhat comforted by the fact that because we have family and 8 acres of land here, we will eventually return, but for now we are setting off on a new adventure--if we can ever get out of this stupid contract!!

WAHOOOOO! Park City is only an hour from where we are so you will be close enough that we can get together. I know it's a bittersweet thing to move but you will love it. How nice that they recognize how valuable Jeff is to give him a pay raise! Good luck finding a place to live and selling your contract! How soon will you be leaving? And I sent that Scentsy money off on Saturday, I'm assuming you've gotten it by now?
We will probably find somewhere in the Salt Lake Valley to live and Jeff will commute to Park City. The reason for that is that he won't be working in Park City forever and will most likey get transferred down to the valley later. So we'll be even closer to you guys!
YEA!! I like it when things just kind of fall into place like that. What a great blessing that Jeff's talents were recognized like that.
Congratulations! What a big change - what an exciting change! We'll keep our eyes and ears open for anyone looking for a contract! Good Luck!
you can always come visit and its not that far away it will be good for your family and think of the new friends you will make and family that you will get to know better we will pray that you sell soon so your family will be together. how are the hives?
Good for you! I can understand the whole "leaving your happy place" feeling. It's been three years and I still get emotional about getting to go 'home' for a week. But I have to say that you always find your comfort zone in new places and that makes it not so hard anymore. Good luck with the contract - we'll keep our ears open for you! Congrats!
Congratulations!!! New is scary, but it's also good. Good luck with everything.
congrats!
have you put an ad on craigslist? it is not to big out here but lots of people in bigger cities that are moving to rexburg check it for apartments. good luck
Wow! You'll find out Utah isn't too bad. Good luck with the move!
