Tuesday was Carson's first day of school. We are fortunate enough to have him going to a brand new school this year..brand new, as in construction workers were still there putting the finishing touches on things when we went to tour it last Friday.
I took Carson over to the school his first day just to make sure he remembered where his classroom was and to help him find where he was supposed to line up. Then I met him after school and helped him find his bus. He was so excited to ride the bus, but I was very nervous about it. I am thankful we have some older neighbor kids that get off at the same stop and are willing to help keep track of Carson.
I can hardly believe I have a first grader! A part of me is wishing that we would have red-shirted him so he would have just been starting Kindergarten. He is one of the youngest in his grade and I know there are several kids he goes to school with that will be turning 7 soon. I kind of feel like that's a big age difference because my little guy just barely turned 6! But he's a smart boy so I don't think I could justify pulling him back a grade now.

Ahh he looks so much like Jeff! Hope he is enjoying school!
What a handsome little guy! Good luck.
He is so handsome without even trying! :D I love his look!
Sayer is the youngest in his class too but he has done awesome so far. We were in the same situation as you where he just barely turned 5 when he started school but he was just to smart to justify holding him back. Now he is getting to see all of his friends being baptized and he is getting even more excited about that!
