The city we live in is situated near the old Pony Express route. Every year during the last week of May and first week of June, the city throws a celebration called Pony Express Days. They have a week long carnival, parade, concert, fireworks, and lots of other activities. This year I took the boys to the parade and they had so much fun! Jonas had to wave to all the floats that went by...
See that handful of candy? They were the first treats he caught and he held on to them for the whole parade.Carson was way excited to see the old time cannon and guns go off. He has his dad's luck and was able to snag a free t-shirt.
The concert that they hold is at the amphitheater in our subdivision. So we got together with all of our neighbors and barbecued while we listened to the music and then watched the fireworks show (also launched from the amphitheater). We are so lucky to have such an awesome neighborhood! I feel really blessed to have built in friends in the houses next door.

how wonderful!!! Sounds like so much fun. :)
How fun! I love stuff like that. Espcially now that I have kids. Asher has the same shirt as Jonas.
