Spending some time alone with Carson made me realize how important it is to take the time to have one on one interaction with my children. It helped me to focus on him without any other distractions and I feel like we were able to bond a little bit more.

Mother & Son Date Night
Carson has been wanting some one on one time with me, so last Saturday after I got home from my Scentsy party, the two of us loaded up in the car and headed out. Our first stop was Subway to share a $5 footlong, some chips, and a drink.
Next on our list was Cabella's. Carson LOVES this place and had been begging me to go there.
We started out our visit at the fish tank.
And then we headed upstairs and played a few rounds on their virtual shooting range. Carson was a pretty good shot and ended up getting me wet by "hitting" the target on a tea kettle. Next we stopped off at the fudge shoppe and got Daddy some of his favorite German Chocolate Fudge. Then we headed back downstairs to check out some more animal displays.
After Cabella's we stopped by Walmart and grabbed How to Train Your Dragon from the Redbox. We spent the rest of our evening watching the movie with Daddy and "the brothers".

I still remember spending a day alone with my mom (rare when I was a child!)when I was 5 or 6. I went to college with her and sat in on her class. I don't remember much else ( it WAS a bit ago) but I remember how special it was to me!
What a great idea! I definitely think that the more kids you get, the more important one on one time is. Looks like you had a great little date.
PS - I had to scroll over the top of the comments section to see where to leave a comment, because I think the font is the same color as the background?
Sounds like lots of fun. I remember one on one time with my parents. I need to start doing it with my little ones.
Ditto about the font color for leaving comments.
What a wonderful idea!!! I really need to do this. :)
Sounds like a good idea! I think that it would be good idea for me to start too!
