On Saturday we went in for our 12 week appointment. It took forever for them to find a vein to draw blood. I found this amazing since last May they were taking my blood every two days to do the quantitative HCG tests on the miscarriage. I don't know what it is about the band aids at the doc's office, but they make me break out in a rash. My arm was all red and nasty looking today. It even ripped a piece of skin off when I tore off the band aid!
When Doctor Crouch finally got in to see me, he tried to find the heartbeat with the Doppler. He couldn't find it. I was sick to my stomach and worried about another miscarriage. He took me into another room to do an ultrasound. Luckily the baby was moving around and we could see the heart beating. It turned out to be an awesome experience to get to see the baby again. It is looking more like an actual baby and was wiggling its little arms and legs. Needless to to say I was so relieved.
